HP verhoogt de standaard voor mobiliteit met veilige nieuwe zakelijke Ultrabooks
Brussel, 3 oktober 2013 – HP onthult vandaag het nieuwe portfolio van elegant ontworpen zakelijke notebooks. Hiermee biedt het een nieuwe standaard voor mobiliteit in computergebruik met veilige en betrouwbare Ultrabooks TM(1). De nieuwe notebooks voldoen aan de hoogste verwachtingen van zakelijke gebruikers en zijn beschikbaar in verschillende configuraties, zodat zij passen in elk IT-budget.
Bedrijven zijn druk bezig de werkplek te transformeren tot een plek waar de apparaten niet alleen stijlvol zijn, maar ook voldoen aan de hoogste eisen van de IT-beslissers. Zo moeten nieuwe devices veilig én beheerbaar zijn voor de IT-beheerders. Met dit in gedachten, heeft HP de nieuwe notebook series EliteBook en ProBook ontworpen. Mobiliteit, duurzaamheid en veiligheid staan hierbij centraal, gecombineerd met een oogstrelend design. De notebooks zijn zichtbaar dunner en tegelijkertijd zien de devices er strak uit.
- De HP EliteBook 800 is tot 40 procent dunner en 28 procent lichter dan de vorige generatie en is voorzien van specificaties die belangrijk zijn in Enterprises. Organisaties krijgen hiermee de kans om dé Ultrabook(1) ervaring te bieden aan iedereen op kantoor en onderweg. Deze serie notebooks is speciaal ontworpen voor mensen die veel onderweg zijn en is voorzien van een accu die tot 33 uur mee gaat. Ook heeft deze serie een MIL-STD 810G certificering voor betrouwbaar zakelijk gebruik. (2,3)

HP EliteBook 800 Series: The ideal travel companion
The HP EliteBook 800 series notebooks are engineered with the security and management features required by enterprise IT, but are customizable to fit the needs of businesses of all sizes. The new series offers Ultrabook(1) qualification for select notebooks, features a thinner and lighter profile(6) ideal for travelers, and a sophisticated design in a rich graphite black with meteorite gray accents inspired by high-performance automobiles.
EliteBook 800 series notebooks meet MIL-STD 810G testing(3) for impressive toughness and reliability, with a magnesium unibody chassis further reinforced with aluminum accents and featuring an optional back-lit keyboard to maintain productivity in low-light settings. A durable drop-jaw hinge Ethernet port ensures reliable connectivity without the need for a dongle or other adapter, while HP Trust Circles ensures that only assigned contacts can access critical files.(7)

HP Sure Start(4) Technology: Automatic protection from BIOS attack
Designed in collaboration with HP Labs, HP Sure Start is the latest breakthrough innovation in HP business platform protection and an exclusive self-healing BIOS solution. Available on the new EliteBook 800 series, this unique hardware-based solution detects and remedies malware and security attacks to the BIOS.
HP Sure Start Crisis Recovery Mode immediately and automatically detects the effects of an attack or corruption and replaces the corrupted BIOS Boot Block with a clean copy from the secure memory—all within about 30 seconds. This technology allows businesses to eliminate employee downtime due to a nonoperational unit caused by BIOS attacks, and helps save IT time by avoiding help desk calls or service ticket requests. Plus, its hardware-based approach means it is effective against new sources of attacks, even those not yet identified.
HP ProBook 600 series: The thinner, tougher taskmaster
The HP ProBook 600 series PCs are highly configurable HP business notebooks packed with the latest technologies, allowing IT administrators to tailor them to the specific needs of their end users, and only purchase the functionality they need. The HP ProBook 450 G1 feature an optional touch interface on a premium shatter-, smudge-, and scratch-resistant screen, enabling greater productivity by providing another way to interact with apps and data.
The HP ProBook 400 series is designed to look good on the go with an attractive meteorite gray chassis with soft touch finish and an all-metal keyboard deck. The ProBook 400 series adds substance to its style with optional 4G LTE(9,12,13), HSPA+ WWAN(9,13,14), Skype (15) and rich DTS Sound+.
HP Spectre x2 Pro
The new HP Spectre x2 Pro offers the extreme flexibility and mobility of a 2-in-1 design, allowing easy movement from Ultrabook to tablet with the durable, mechanical hinge. HP Security Jacket: Enhanced identity and network protection for HP ElitePad
The new HP Security Jacket adds critical functionality to the HP ElitePad, the No. 1 Windows-enabled commercial tablet on the market.(16) It allows device and network access only to those with approved access through single- or multi-factor user authentication via a thin and light jacket design. Ideal for government, healthcare and security-sensitive corporate environments, the TAA-compliant Security Smart Jacket includes a Smart Card Reader(18) that allows FIPS 140-2 encryption solutions and optional fingerprint reader, both of which meet FIPS-201 requirements.
Additionally, the jacket offers USB 3.0 and HDMI ports for convenient connectivity. Paired with HP’s included Device Access Manager software with Just In Time authentication, the jacket’s USB port can be easily secured for limited, authorized use of removable storage devices during a brief allotted time after authentication. The HP Security Jacket is compatible with the HP ElitePad dock for easy desktop productivity with dual display support.
HP Mobile Connect
HP Mobile Connect(19) is a prepaid, competitively priced mobile broadband service fully integrated into select HP ProBook and HP EliteBook notebooks and the HP ElitePad 900.
Through a relationship with Cubic Telecom, HP Mobile Connect delivers local and international coverage at local pricing using the wireless infrastructure of major mobile network operators. Customers can choose from several plan options for use within their specific country or a Fearless Roaming Plan, a reasonably priced roaming plan that provides service across multiple countries and eliminates the mystery of roaming fees.
A cost-effective, secure, simple and flexible mobile broadband experience, HP Mobile Connect enables mobile workers to easily see account balances, monitor their mobile broadband usage and purchase additional services as needed.
Available on select HP business tablets and notebooks with integrated Qualcomm® GobiTM 3G and 4G technology, HP Mobile Connect allows users to purchase wireless broadband data within their country without being tied down by contracts, hot spots or set-up fees.
Pricing and availability(20)
- The HP ProBook 400 series is now available in Belgium, starting at €545.
- The HP EliteBook 800 series will be available in Belgium & Luxembourg as of November 1st, starting at €1049
- The HP ProBook 600 series will be available as of December 1st, starting at 729€.
- The HP Spectre x2 Pro will be available as of December 1st.
- The HP Security Jacket for the HP ElitePad is expected to be available from November,
- HP Mobile Connect service is available now in Europe with local plans available in Belgium, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands and the United Kingdom. HP is offering a free trial and local plans start as low as € 2.50 for three hours of service.(20) There are also plans for one day, one week and one month of service (prices vary by country).
- Fearless Roaming Plans are available now for Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Ireland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Additional Fearless Roaming Plans will be available for China, Hong Kong and the United States by the end of 2013.
